Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Massage

I have had a couple of patients in the past month come to massage to help ease symptoms of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS).
CFS is a disorder that affects the nervous system causing:

  • extreme tiredness,
  • aches in the muscles and joints,
  • low blood pressure causing dizziness,
  • trouble sleeping,
  • concentration and memory loss,
  • stomachs and digestion issues,
  • urinary problems
  • flu like symptoms.

Although the main cause of CFS is still being researched, it is said to be linked to viruses, weakened immune system and hormonal imbalances that can affect anyone of all ages.
As a complimentary treatment to other therapies, gentle massage of the full body can help stimulate the immune system by increasing circulation of the blood and lymphatic system. This will also help with increasing muscle strength and ease pressure, aches and pains of the muscles and joints. During my treatments, I like to use diaphragmatic breathing exercises to relax and assist mentally and emotionally, calming anxiety, stress and depression.

Slow gentle work is the key to help assist the body to relax. Call 0401534702 to book your massage with Inner Healing Massage.
